What kind of help do you need..?
About Our Counsellors
We believe everyone is unique, and consequently we offer different types of counselling such as person-centred, integrative, psycho-dynamic approaches and art and drama therapy, dependant on what’s best for you.
Counselling for Adults
You will be offered an initial appointment (known as an assessment) as quickly as we can to explore whether counselling with us is right for you. If not we’ll do our best to direct you to another service.
Counselling for Children
Our experienced counsellors will meet with the child and parents or main carers to discuss the problem and assess how to help. The child will then meet with the counsellor for fifty minutes each week, at a regular time; the number of sessions will be agreed between the child, the counsellor and the parent/carer.
Counselling for Clergy
Ministry brings particular and unique stresses. These often impinge, not only on the clergy, but also on their spouses and families. The resulting burden can lead to a number of difficulties in coping with life.
Counselling for Couples
An opportunity for couples to focus together on issues in their relationship.Any couple in a committed relationship. Sometimes one partner attends alone to begin with and later the other one may join in.
Counselling for Young People
help you to take control of your life, help you to talk and think things through and make sense of what’s going on, respect, value you and don’t judge you.
Counselling in Schools
Many schools have recognised the need to deal with children’s personal crises at an early stage and see the benefits of this work in a decrease in truancy and disruption in the classroom.
Eating Disorders
Through counselling, you can work with your therapist to begin to take back control of your life and build the strength to work to understand or to deal with those issues that have been pulling you into the eating disorder.
Psychosexual Therapy
Psychosexual therapy offers a forum to empower you to deal with sexual and communication problems in a healthy way and help you to constructively express your sexual needs.
Relationship Counselling
We appreciate that each person is unique, as is each relationship, and because of this we will all bring our own particular experiences and challenges to the relationship. Sometimes these differences remain unspoken and can go on to develop unexpressed feelings of resentment between the two of you over time.
